** Work on the Columbia Heights construction project in Final Phase. **
Update
- Final surface asphalt paving completed on 14th St. from Columbia Rd. to Newton St.
- Pavement marking on All areas within Project limits.
- Installation of Art Medallion at Metro completed.
- Final cable installation for Streetlights and Traffic Signal Light Installation in progress.
- Final phase of Side walk reconstruction and paver installation on west side of 14th St from Park rd to Newton Street in progress.
- Final phase of Landscaping from Park to Newton.
- General Clean up and Punchlist.
Changes in Traffic Pattern on 14th Street and Park Road:
- EB Park Rd is now open to traffic from 14th St; Right turn from NB 14th St is now open.
- WB Park Rd traffic from Holmead Pl can only turn right onto NB 14th St. at the 14th St. intersection.
- No thru traffic for WB Park Rd. traffic across 14th St. to Park Rd (west).
- Motorist from the east of 14th St. wishing to go west on Park Rd may now use Kenyon St.
- Removal of existing streetlight poles and traffic signal poles.

Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) & Impact:
- All lanes opened to traffic from Columbia Road to Newton St.
- All businesses along the sidewalks are expected to remain open during paver installation work and access will not be restritcted.
- Pedestrian Access to businesses along the side walks will continue to be maintained during paver installation work.
- Crosswalks are now open all over the project, except where affected by unit paver installation work.
- Traffic Safety Officers at Intersections during rush-hour, Flagmen (where needed for cleanup and to remove equipment and material for unit paving installation).
